I was supposed to wake up at 11am and ended up waking at around 7, because my mother entered my room and went looking for her nail cutter, though I still dozed off and woke up just now. Haha!
I have been thinking of finishing half the part of my speech homework right now, which has to be presented later this evening, but I am still lazy to do so, and my brain ran into overdrive last night, that ideas seem to impossibly flow in at this very moment. It's almost 12nn now and I am still slacking off. Why am I this lazy! Geez.
I need to get my ass back to work. I fail at doing impromptu speeches, that I really have to plan this one. The first impromptu speech I gave for our presentation class a few weeks ago, landed me a grade of 89. I have to do better this time. I become a grade-obsessed person only when it comes to speeches and writing, because I think that women should be eloquent speakers and writers, that is why I do my best to improve more on that. And this presentation class is a good enough practice ground for it.

Things That Hold Me Back in Life
A few weeks ago, our Professional Ethics professor asked us to write about the things that hold us back in life, so I came up with this:
I have been living for 18 years now and all I can say about my life is that I have not fully lived it yet - given that I am still very young and I have yet so much to learn of the things in this world that I am inquisitive about. But as I progress with the daily demands of my generation, I still struggle to fit in. This is the only thing that holds me back in life. The moment I was aware what the world was like – what people were like and how they treated the world, I knew I was going to have a hard time; that I will one day be judged and mistreated by my peers. I also knew that I was quite different. I knew that I pretty much belonged to the small percentage of young people who despised every possible teenage cliché there is, so I ended up becoming a little of a wallflower and a late bloomer. Although surprisingly, I enjoy being one, because I can make more time for myself and I can avoid negative judgement from others [but criticism is fine]. What most people do not know is that I really have nothing much to say about my life, because I am in fact, an average young individual who has yet, again, to learn a lot of things. I am more of a dreamer and a thinker. I observe and analyze people's actions and the objects around me - which leads to more thinking. And that is how I get several of my ideas and plans for the future.
I am not quite sure if it is at all a negative thing, this struggle. I sometimes think that maybe the world is just moving too fast that I cannot keep up. That is not such a bad thing, is it?
This generation has given too much pressure on society that everyone seems to want to try to "fit in". And that most young people push themselves to become grown-ups, which I think is stupid because most grown-ups want to be young again, and yet these teenagers keep on acting like they know everything, when in fact, they have not even experienced half of the struggles real grown-ups have gone through.
I am not a very wise person and I have flaws - flaws that make my struggles in life real and worth telling a hundred stories to. But one day, I know that this self struggle will subside. And that with the help of the few true people who actually care about me and who I actually do care for as well, and the bundle of experiences ahead, I will eventually become the person I am meant to be.

Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine nail polish in Shining
The Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine nail polish in Shining is by far my favorite (aside from the mattes) in terms of formulation and output. I like it because it has a very silky texture, shines beautifully, blends in smoothly and does not easily chip off. Plus, the color looks simply divine.
